NATURE CONNECTION WORKSHOPS / RETREATS
Nature Connection workshops and retreats draw inspiration from a combination of Deep Ecology, Outdoor Education, Bush Craft, Woodwork and Community Building practices.
Workshops are designed to connect participants with self, others and Nature through experiences that combine movement, conversation, creativity and reflective practices.
Bushcraft, fire making and shelter building along with Woodwork (using native timbers and basic hand tools) are alos fun, hands on and practical ways to fuse nature connection with traditional camp activiteis or a training environment.
These workshops have been previously led with participants aged 8 - 80 from all walks of life, with university students, professional developments, school camps, music festivals and holistic wellness retreats. Contact Paddy to find out how these workshops can meet your teams needs.

NATURE CONNECTION WORKSHOPS
Human Camera
Inspired by Deep Ecology practices such as Seeing the World with New Eyes, this session takes participants on a journey into their envionment and challenges them to creatively experience it with a new lens.
Combining experiential trust, with creative camera work, these experiences are accompanied by fascinating questions and conversations that hilight the myrid of different ways we can all view our surroundings and life in general, depending on our perspective.
This workshop is ideal for those looking to deepend their connection with self, otehrs and the natural world.
Bushcraft Woodwork
There are few things as rewarding and engaging as creating something truely beautiful using your hands and imagination. Bushcraft Woodwork allows us to use both, as we create beautiful and functional projects using sustainably sourced timbers.
Using a range of basic hand tools such as rasps, hand drills and sand paper, you will have the opportunity to create a spatula, cheese board or coaster. Finished with a food friendly eco oil, your project will become a favourite in any kitchen for years to come.
Nature Connection Games
Inspired by Deep Ecology practices such as Coming From Gratitude, this session combines classic energisers and team games with Nature Connective Practices.
Equally as effective and fun with a group of Adults at a festival or workshop as a class of kids on a school camp, these classic games are guranteed to bring up the energy, lighten the mood and get your group interacting with one another and the environement around them. Perfect at the beginning of a program or after lunch to wake everyone up!
Ropes & Rigging
What does an Alpine Butterfly and Bunny Ear have in common? -They are both AWESOME climbing knots!
This hands on workshop will teach participants a range of classic climbing knots and how to use them.
Whether you want to learn how to sling the perfect hammock, home made swing, or rig up the ultimate base camp shelter, this workshop can be tailored for participants brand new to knots through to professional rock climbers looking to expand their skill set.
This workshop is based on 30+ years rock climbing experience. All ropes and equipment supplied.
Camp Fires & Cooking
Reconnect with the ancient and beautiful art of Fire making. Learn how to collect the best sticks, leaves and tinder to make a beautiful fire...the heart of any campsite!
As the flames die down and coles begin to glow, we can cook our dinner! Or settle for a damper desert and marshmellows depending on your appetite. We can also boil the billy for a hot chocolate or pepermint tea!
Deep Debriefs
Inspired by Deep Ecology practices such as Going Forth, these sessions can be tailored to any workshop or retreat, with an emphasis on facilitating Meaningful conversations with the power to transform and consolidate experiences.
These sessions can also include Intention Setting, focusing on the transfer of experiences from now into the future or be used to seal the current event in a well rounded package.
These sessions can combine facilitated whole group conversations, paired sharing and individual journalling practices.

What keeps you grounded within your sense of self?
What motivates you to continue to grow into the future?
This Nature Connective workshop allows us to draw wisdom from the forest and liken our own lives to that of the trees. -Are you a young sapling in flower, shooting up towards the sunshine? Or an ancient giant, still with wisdom, providing shelter for all?
We have much to gain by taking time to reflect on these and many other questions, that will allow us to gain a deeper sense of self and how we are showing up and growing within our own communities.
Ephemeral Artwork
Inspired by Deep Ecology practices such as Coming From Gratitude, this session combines Nature Connective practices such as grounding meditations and nature walks to create beautiful artworks made from flowers, leaves, wood, rocks, sand and other beautiful pieces from the natural environment.
This slow paced and contemplative workshop is perfect as a stand alone workshop or coupled with other experiences to bring a reflective quality into a longer workshop, camp or retreat.Deep Ecology Retreat
Take a deep dive into Nature Connection and in doing so form a deeper connection with yourself and others around you as you journey through the 4 stages of the Work That Reconnects.
The experience takes participants through delicately interwoven and expertly facilitated experiences of Gratitude, Grief, Wonder and Inspiration for the current and future states of our planet, humanity and ourselves. Acnknowledgement of what is truely beautiful, what cannot continue and most importantly, what each of us are going to do in order to be the change we wish to see in the world?
This retreat can be run any length of time between 1 - 5 days.
